RAIHN, Rochester Area
Interfaith Hospitality Network
The Rochester Area Interfaith Hospitality Network (RAIHN) is a not-for-profit, interfaith, culturally-competent organization of faith communities that assists homeless families to achieve sustainable independence by supporting them with tailored services including shelter, food, personalized case management, and a diverse network of caring volunteers.
The success of the RAIHN programs depends, in part, on the network of volunteers who provide their time and talents to help our guest families through their time of temporary homelessness. You may sign up by using the iVOLUNTERonline portal accessed through the logo to the right. The First Baptist Church of Rochester is one of over 37 different faith communities engaged in RAIHN today.
RAIHN Services:
- Accommodations: Through our hosting faith commuity partners, RAIHN provides guest families with home-like lodging including meals, in an environment that is comfortable, safe, and private.
- Case Management: Through the staff at the RAIHN Day Center, the guest families receive a comprehensive suite of services including skill development, house and job-hunting,all required to achieve independence through permanent housing and employment.
- Training: RAIHN continually brings education and awareness training to the volunteers in many areas, including Rochester.
We are always looking for volunteers! Call the church office at (585) 244-2468 or email us at fbcroffice@frontiernet.net for more information!
