YOUTH LED FOOD DRIVE
New Drive will begin in January 2018.
Each year, First Baptist Rochester Youth hold their SOUPER BOWL OF CARING food drive in the month of January ending on Super Bowl Sunday. This food drive supports the outreach ministry of the Brighton Food Depot (BFD).
BFD works to feed needy children and families in Rochester, New York through a program called BackPack Bags that places a bag of groceries in the hands of 100 children at School #4 in the city each month through the school year.
In 2017, the goal was 1000 items and dollars combined. We collected canned fruit and vegetables, macaroni 'n cheese boxes and tuna. At the end of the drive we had collected 798 food items and $464 dollars. A big thank you to all who contributed and made this year's drive a major success.
