The book of Jonah uses the main character,
as an outrageous excuse of a prophet, to show the leaders and people of Judah
just how foolish they looked with their insistence on isolationism and the exclusion of "the other."
It asks the question, "If God loves the outsider, shouldn't we?".

Wednesday Dinners - as scheduled
Occasionally we will have an all-church Wednesday Dinner (Potluck or as a fund-raiser). Often these events include either special activities or speakers. If you have a topic of interest that you would like to schedule for a Wednesday Evening Dinner, please contact Janet Richardson, Minister of Programs and Operations, who will put you in touch with the appropriate Ministry Teams for assistance.
